"I love books, especially very well-written books, by real authors who have a wonderful story to tell--and have a gift that they employ in making that story come alive in your heart and mind as you read it. Mark Twain comes to mind. And because of him and his gifts, Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn live in our minds and memories as if we knew them personally, as part of our lives, as indeed they are. Such a book is PIANO DAYS, and such a writer is Don Reid. He lived this life, and all the stories and people are real. Life and our culture have changed materially since the years this story was lived, and most of the changes we call 'progress' aren't good for our souls. We really miss the era, the sweeter and more livable years Don desires. But in four or five hours immersed in PIANO DAYS you can make those days and memories part of your life too. I strongly recommend it!!!"
